Service Terms for Cloud and Hosting Work
These general service terms apply to cloud architecture, implementation, infrastructure automation, SaaS hosting support and managed infrastructure work unless a written project agreement states otherwise. Written offers, statements of work and individual agreements take precedence over this general information.
Scope and ordersWork is agreed in writing before implementation. The agreed scope can include assessment, architecture, landing zones, network and firewall design, identity and access management, Infrastructure as Code, cloud-native hosting, Microsoft 365 operations, documentation and handover.
Customer responsibilitiesThe customer provides correct requirements, timely approvals, administrative access where needed, licenses, subscriptions, secrets through secure channels, and a named technical contact. Productive changes require coordinated release windows and current backups where relevant.
Cloud and third-party platformsAmazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, domain registrars, DNS, certificate authorities, monitoring, backup or email providers remain independent third-party services. Their availability, pricing, regions, quotas and terms are controlled by the respective provider.
Operations and maintenanceOperational work can include monitoring review, patch coordination, backup checks, incident support, cost and security review, and controlled configuration changes. Emergency changes may be carried out when they are needed to protect availability, security or data integrity.
Security and availabilityInfrastructure is designed and implemented with professional care, least-privilege access, logging, segmentation and repeatable deployment where suitable. No website, cloud platform or network can be guaranteed to be permanently available or absolutely secure.
Data protectionIf personal data is processed on behalf of a customer, a suitable data processing agreement under GDPR must be concluded before processing starts. The customer remains responsible for lawful instructions, retention requirements and the classification of its data.
Acceptable useServices must not be used for illegal content, spam, malware, unauthorized access, denial-of-service activity, credential harvesting, rights infringements or activities that endanger shared infrastructure or third-party systems.
Liability and lawLiability follows mandatory Austrian law and the individual agreement. Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, liability for indirect damage, lost profit or consequential damage is excluded. Austrian law applies where legally permissible.
EU Online Dispute Resolution
The European Online Dispute Resolution platform has been discontinued under Regulation (EU) 2024/3228. Current EU consumer redress information is available at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu.
